About

Ham Pond is the Common's focal point, and it dates back to when horses were watered on the Common. Nowadays the pond attracts children and parents who enjoy feeding the ducks. The open 'green' is the site for Ham Fair in the summer, and cricket matches, and is an ideal spot for a picnic or an informal ball game. A purpose-built horse track crosses the Common linking Ham Avenues with Ham Common Woods which are on the other side of Petersham Road.
