SHOPPING IN BARNES
The River Thames acts as a natural boundary between Barnes and the thoroughfares of Hammersmith, this therefore allows Barnes, Mortlake and Sheen to offer a variety of retailers and markets for you to experience. These range from boutiques, gift shops and jewellers to traditional grocers and butchers that offer high quality products to satisfy your every need.
A focal point of the immediate area is Barnes Pond, which hosts a traditional fair every July. If you are into music the Bull's Head pub in Barnes is one of the first and most important jazz venues in Britain. Together with the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, it became the main venue for major UK-based and visiting jazz musicians, offering both lunchtime and evening performances.
