Shopping in Barnes
Barnes
The River Thames acts as a natural boundary between Barnes and the thoroughfares of Hammersmith, which preserves its smart country village character. There are a handful of small boutiques, jewellers and gift shops on Barnes High Street and Church Road, as well as a traditional grocer, a fishmonger and a butcher. A focal point of the immediate area is Barnes Pond, which hosts a traditional fair every July, and the Bull’s Head pub by the river is a world famous jazz venue.
