Shopping
Richmond
If you're looking for a great mix of shops including the well known high street names, boutiques, designer stores and antique shops, Richmond is the perfect destination. Unlike many modern towns, Richmond has historic cobbled lanes and alleyways filled with interesting finds. When shopping tires you out, you can take a short break at one of the many wine bars or cafes or relax by the river or on Richmond Green – London’s largest town centre open space.
Brewers Lane, Paved Court, Golden Court, Church Court and Hill Rise are an absolute must for visitors to Richmond, here you will find many independent shops, galleries and curious places to browse.
Twickenham
Twickenham has a range of specialist and independent shops where you are assured of personal attentive service, away from the madding crowds.
You can browse and seek out unusual items, particularly in and around Church Street. This elegant 17th Century street, retaining the character of its origins, is an Aladdin’s cave of small shops that include antiques, quirky gifts, books, jewellery, designer and lifestyle goods. You'll find Church Street nestled in between the main shopping street in Twickenham and the river. It’s an ideal place to shop, eat and drink and then take a riverside stroll.
Find West London’s finest fishmonger, real childrens toys and freshly baked bread all within a few steps on the main thoroughfare.
There is a Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning and French and Art & Craft markets are regular visitors especially during the lively Twickenham Festival in June.
For more information about Twickenham visit the Twickenham Town Centre website.
Teddington
If you're looking for independent boutiques, designer stores and gift shops, Teddington is ideal. When shopping tires you out, you can take a short break at one of the many wine bars or cafes or relax by the river near the famous Teddington Lock – where the tidal stretch of the Thames ends. Alternatively visit the very impressive Landmark Arts Centre
