It’s time to give Three Cheers for Women in this interactive and engaging event with master storyteller and illustrator, Marcia Williams. Be inspired by the painter Frida Kahlo, save the environment alongside Wangari Maathai, and learn how to draw comics from Marcia herself! With fascinating facts and an interactive quiz, you’ll be awed and inspired by these wonderful women.

Marcia Williams has lived in Barnes since she was sixteen. She was a former nursery school teacher at The Ducklings, by Barnes Pond. She then studied watercolour at Richmond College and has published over twenty books since her first title in 1987. Marcia still lives in Barnes and has two grown-up children and six grandchildren. She also has two dogs – one an angel on four legs and the other a delightful disgrace!
