Details

As part of the Richmond Know Your Place Festival 2019, the Archives team will show treasures from our Archives and talk about the Gardens' history. Learn about Kew’s historic buildings, which form our World Heritage Site, and also about some of the key plants and individuals who brought these plants to the Gardens.

There will be the opportunity to see rare maps of the Gardens, letters from Charles Darwin, Joseph Hooker papers, historic photographs and many other rare and interesting items. At the end of the talk, there will be the chance to see the 'Library, Art & Archives' display in our Wolfson Display space in the Reading Room.
