About

The Old Sorting Office Centre opened in September 2002 and provides a venue for theatre and live performances, art exhibitions, dance classes, music, drama for all ages and abilities, writers' groups, Yoga, Pilates classes, education opportunities and more.


There are three studio spaces which can be adapted to one large space or several computations of the three, with a sprung dance floor and soundproof screens.

Private functions, anniversary parties, birthdays, charity evenings and fund-raising events. Licence to hold civil wedding ceremonies.

The OSO Café serves home-made cakes, sandwiches and a variety of coffees and teas.
Café: Monday to Friday 8:30am-6pm; Saturday 10am-4pm
Bar: 7pm-10pm on performance nights

The OSO Arts Centre is right by the Pond on Barnes Green, with its entrance on the Green itself, next to Côte Brasserie.

​Getting to the OSO is easy:

They are a short walk from Barnes and Barnes Bridge railway stations, with regular trains from Clapham Junction, Waterloo and Richmond

Frequent buses run from Putney and the south side of Hammersmith Bridge. Please note that Hammersmith Bridge is temporarily closed. For more details please check the Transport For London website

If you’d prefer to drive, there are parking spaces near Barnes Green and parking is free in many spots after 12pm.
