About

The Landmark Arts Centre is housed in a magnificent Grade II* listed building which was formerly the Church of St Alban the Martyr. The church was designed in the French Gothic style by architect William S Niven, who lived locally and who had been a pupil of Sir George Gilbert Scott. The building was declared redundant in 1977 and was neglected for years, suffering vandalism and exposure to weather. A robust campaign, led by local people, saved the building - both for its architectural merit and for use by the community as an arts centre.

Now operated by an independent charity, the Landmark Arts Centre, has evolved into a vibrant arts centre which fills a special niche in the community. The Centre offers a stimulating mix of activities including arts related classes for children and adults plus an eclectic performing arts programme, encompassing dance, jazz, blues, classical chamber music and choral music. Added to these delights are four annual arts fairs, renowned in South West London. The magnificent Landmark Arts Centre can also be hired for private and corporate receptions and for filming.

A range of cards showcasing the work of local artists and photographers in now availabe at the Centre.
