Workshop - Writing Non-Fiction Masterclass at Twickenham Library
Literary Event, Sat 5 Nov 2016
020 8891 6000
Is there a book that you are longing to write?
Perhaps you want to write the biography of someone you admire or, about a life experience that has had a major impact on you. Perhaps you have expert knowledge that you would love to share. Or you might have researched your family history and would welcome some help with writing up your material into a colourful narrative.
Non-fiction is no longer seen as the poor relation to fi ction: we now recognise that the good non-fiction writer brings to their chosen subject judgement, imagination and creativity. The more successfully you do this, the more interesting and engaging your book will be. So whether you have yet to decide on your
subject; have made a small start, or you are already deeply into the work, you can fi nd some inspiration and develop your writing skills with award-winning editor and writer Sandra Hempel.
Sandra is the author of 'The Inheritor’s Powder: A Cautionary Tale of Poison, Betrayal and Greed' and 'The Medical Detective: John Snow, Cholera and the Mystery of the Broad Street Pump'.
This event will offer practical exercises, feedback on your writing and advice on getting published.
