An informative, friendly and jargon-free orientation to trusteeship in community and voluntary organisations. In this session we'll look at what's involved in being a trustee: what trusteeship means, the responsibilities of a trustee, and tools you can use to ensure good governance in your organisation.

The couse will help you

Know what governance is
Understand the roles and responsibilities of trustees/management committees in the voluntary sector
Understand the key principles trustees must uphold in fulfilling their duties
Understand the separation between trusteeship and other volunteering
Know how to use the Code of Governance as a tool for good governance
