What is genre fiction and why do we love to not genre fiction? This workshop, led by Senior Lecturer at St Mary’s University Russell Schechter, will examine some of the basic issues common to popular genres including crime, horror, fantasy and science fiction and look at how to go about
starting writing genre fiction which is successful. The evening will include a fun writing activity. Russell Schechter is a Senior Lecturer in Creative & Professional Writing at St Mary’s University.
As ‘Jay Russell’ he is a novelist and short story writer and has been nominated for a World
Fantasy Award. Max 16 participants
