Her Ensemble are the UK’s first women and non-binary orchestra. Deriving from the European Union Youth Orchestra, the ensemble brings together a diverse group of like-minded friends who are now some of the most in demand string players in the UK and abroad. Founder Ellie Consta was inspired to form Her Ensemble after realising that in 2019/20 just 3.6% of the classical music pieces performed worldwide were written by women. Their concert will showcase their favourite repertoire: 45 minutes of extraordinary music written for strings.
