David de Winter tenor
To commemorate the 350th anniversary of the death of Heinrich Schütz, tenor David de Winter and Endelienta Baroque present a programme of solo vocal works that reflects the profound influence the composer had on the music of seventeenth century Germany. Schütz synthesised Italianate styles with the music of his immediate German predecessors to create a musical language that was well-crafted yet candidly simple, virtuosic yet arresting and direct.
