Summer School

About

A week long course where students will;
– have a go at several arts and crafts,
– learn more about the history of Richmond
– and earn a Bronze Arts Award – a Level 1 qualification (equivalent to a GCSE – grades 3, 2, 1 or grades D, E, F, G) from Trinity College, London

Activities will include:
– Visiting and reviewing the OT50 exhibition at the Museum
– A tour of the Orange Tree Theatre and their 'Play in a Day' workshop
– Discovering more about the history of Richmond, linked to the exhibition
– Having a go at arts and crafts linked to the exhibition, including puppet making, mask making and origami
– Curating an exhibition of their work which will remain on display at the Museum for the duration of the exhibition
– Creating a 'how to' video about their art work for the exhibition, which will be added to the Museum's YouTube video

Please bring your own lunch and a refillable water bottle

Access requirements
Please let the Museum know if there are any additional learning needs we need to be aware of so we can fully support the students during the summer school.

The Museum is on the Second Floor of the Old Town Hall. It can be accessed from street level via two lifts. If you need assistance, please contact the Museum on learning@museumofrichmond.com or 020 8332 1141 before the workshop so we can meet you at the entrance when you arrive.
