About
TRY IT Festival is here and so is summer, so it is time to get outside and enjoy the great weather in our parks! What better way to do it is to take part in the TRY IT Trail or Geocache trail to become a professional treasure hunter. For those that do not know, a geocache trail is when treasure hunters attempt to track down hidden items, known as geocaches, by punching coordinates into a smartphone or GPS device. This game is sweeping the nation with over 2.5 million geocaches hidden around the world and over 6 million players! This event is an opportunity to spend a day with some friends or colleagues while exploring the beautiful parks of Richmond. All you have to do is download the application Geocaching (available for all smartphones) log onto the application, search for 'Try-It Trail' and let the fun begin!
We have hidden numerous clues across the borough. When treasure hunters manage to successfully track down a ‘Try It’ box they are given a clue to the next location until all clues are discovered. There will be prizes for all who participate including an official Rugby World Cup ball! With prizes and a great time for all this is an event not to be missed!
All Geocachers should share their adventure by tweeting pictures to @TRYITFestival!
