Wassail

About

In the week leading up to our Wassail on the 3th of February, we've got two Wassail themed growing events.

Wednesday 31st January: 10 - 11.30: Growing Traditions Around the World

In advance of the annual Wassail on Saturday 3rd February, join us at Vine Road pavillion for a talk on growing traditions around the world. We will discuss the history and meaning of the Wassail, before moving on to look at traditions and rituals in different cultures around the world. The processes involved in sowing seeds, tending to crops and harvesting may appear simple, but they often have important historical and cultural significance. Come along to find out more. Refreshments will be provided.

We also have another Wassail themed event on Monday 29th Jan, 10 - 12: Community Orchard walk and talk.
