“Let’s go for a drink. I don’t know what I’m doing here. One drink. And if you never want to see me again you never have to see me again.” Premiering at the Royal Court in 2012, Nick Payne’s Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it’s about quantum multiverse theory, love and bee keeping. Constellations packs more into 75 minutes than most plays do in 3 hours. “An astonishingly fine play…As a critic, one would be hard put to begin to do justice to the dazzling way it creates its own rules, while at the same time being wise enough not to jettison the old rule book either” – Independent Arena Theatre is one of the south coast’s leading theatre companies. Based in Bournemouth, Arena boasts Sir Mark Rylance and Jez Butterworth amongst their Patrons. Arena has achieved dozens of awards for acting, direction, lighting and sound since we began in 1984, and has twice undertaken international exchange tours to Colorado, USA, performing Teechers, Amadeus and Oh! What a Lovely War. Recent touring productions have included The Weir, A Matter of Life & Death, The Last 5 Years, Bent, Brief Encounter, The History Boys and Jerusalem. Cast:
Roland – Sean Beaumont
Marianne – Becky Mills
