About

Teddington Swimming Club

TSC is a competitive club that provides swimming opportunities for all ages—from swimming lessons for beginners, through a range of competitive age-group squads to the masters programme.

The club was founded in 1978 when the old open air pool in Teddington was modernised and reopened as a well-equipped indoor pool. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in June 2003 with an exciting gala against other local clubs and a family barbecue at Hampton Open Air Pool. A group photograph was taken to mark the anniversary.

You can read about these events and our other activities on the web pages using the links provided. Teddington Swimming Club provides a wide variety of swimming activities including;

teaching young children to swim

providing improvement classes for older children

competitive swimming through age group, individual and team competitions

masters swimming

open water long distance swimming

land training

The club has more than 450 swimming members a further 150 in lessons and a number of associate members. Swimmers ages range from 6 to 60+. Most of our sessions are held at Teddington Pool, with additional sessions at Pools on the Park (Richmond), Lady Eleanor Holles (Hampton), Hampton Open Air Pool, Hurst Pool ( East Molesey) and Hanworth Airparks. In addition the club holds Long Course training on a Sunday  at Aldershot Garrison Pool.

The Club is managed by a Committee of volunteers mainly parents of swimmers and employs a full time Head Coach. The Head Coach manages a team coaches to direct the swimming programme. Our Elite swimmers qualify for County, Regional and National Gala's also representing Richmond at  the London Youth Games.

We like to think of ourselves as a friendly club, and always welcome enquiries from prospective members.
