Damsels & Dragons and other winged wonders. Join our warden to take a look at some of the oldest creatures on the planet.
Dragonflies have been about since the time of the dinosaurs, giving them plenty of time to evolve their astonishing flying skills. This time of year sees two of our dragonfly species often attain peak numbers on the reserve; we will also keep an eye out for other invertebrates on site including grasshoppers and bush-crickets, hoverflies, shieldbugs and other eye-catching insects. Learn more about them on this 30 minute walk to see which species are around.
