Considering its close proximity to Central London, the London Wetland Centre supports an impressive array of wild orchids on site. Half a dozen orchid taxa are found on the reserve including: the enigmatic Common Twayblade Listera ovata; the strikingly beautiful Pyramidal Orchid Anacamptis pyramidalis and thethe elusive Broad-leaved Helleborine Epipactis helleborine.

This is the perfect chance to see these amazing species of orchids and other wildflowers that grace the grasslands at WWT London Wetland Centre. If time allows, we will take a look at a few other plant species of note to be found on site.
