We usually walk for up to two hours, always in very pleasant places. If the weather is rainy or bad the meetings are cancelled.
Walks visit venues where a variety of birds can normally be seen. For members interested in looking at birds and sharing their knowledge with other members.
The walks are not lectures on ornithology. Members with knowledge of birds share this with those less knowledgeable, and those who bring bird books use them to identify birds which are seen on the walk or lend them to other members to do this. In these ways we hope everyone’s knowledge, and pleasure in taking part in the walks, will increase.
