During this practical two-day course, you will learn how to appraise plants as potential subject studies and how to light them to capture memorable botanical close-ups. With day one spent mostly in the Gardens, day two starts with an indoor still life session with flowers, cones and leaves, using window light as well as LED lights, a lightbox, a light tent and fibre optics. The outdoor session will involve the use of fill flash, and how to photograph insect pollinators, as well as looking for plant patterns. Anyone who has a passion for plants will enjoy this course, which is aimed at professional and enthusiastic amateur photographers, as well as horticulturists and botanists. You will gain a clear understanding of how to use lighting to achieve best results and gain confidence in capturing macro subjects - both outdoors and inside.
