Whizz keyboard player, Eric Ranzoni will be paying tribute to one of the blues greats, Memphis Slim.

This unique-in-the-world tribute to one of the blues giants has been given the thumbs up by Peter Chatman, the son of Memphis Slim, and has been performed at The Royal Albert Hall, The Boisdale, Canary Wharf and was a huge success when previously performed at The Eel Pie Club in 2017 and 2018.

The band features Eric Ranzoni who you may have seen playing keyboards with Mud Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters), plus Pete Pritchard on bass, who has played with, among others, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Jerry Lee Lewis, Alvin Lee and Elvis Presley's original guitarist, Scotty Moore. On guitar is Mal Barclay of The Cadillac Kinks, and on drums, George Hart.

This tribute was inspired by Eric Ranzoni's meeting in Paris with drummer Michel Denis and pianist Jean-Paul Amouroux who both played with Memphis Slim during his French years, later in his life.
