Patricia Hammond – Voice, William Summers - Recorder, Flute, Stephen Carpenter - Vihuela, Guitar. Music from the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries using reconstructed period instruments. The Consort takes songs and tunes from the mixed cultures of Renaissance Spain and its colonies to present a society of ceremony and intimacy in music. In performance, they aim to recover the engaging and informal style of the early music revival of the 1970s. Ticket includes tea & cake in the interval.
