In 1842 over 6000 objects belonging to the Strawberry Hill Collection, including art works, curiosities and beautiful pieces of porcelain were sold in the ‘Sale of the Century’.

This October over 150 items from Horace Walpole’s renowned collection at Strawberry Hill will be returned to the beautiful gothic revival castle. Co-curator of the exhibition, Dr Silvia Davoli explains how she traced items from the famed collection.
