Richmond upon Thames, is fortunate enough to have ten independent community centres, each providing services, activities, support and facilities that contribute to lively community life in our lovely borough. With plenty of sociable ways to get fit, from yoga at the Cambrian Centre to indoor bowls at the YMCA White House. At ETNA Community Centre, volunteers take surplus food and turn it into tasty lunches. Castelnau Community Centre has a range of free kids’ clubs, while Greenwood Community Centre hosts a ballet school. With Whitton Community Centre being home to specialist interest clubs
For the more mature among us, Kew Community Centre, Elleray Hall, Linden Hall and Mortlake Community Association have weekly groups, social clubs, day trips and many other programmed events that appeal to all.
Many of our community centres also have spaces for hire, at very reasonable rates, for you to launch your own enterprise, host an event or teach a class.
You can contact your local community centre to see what’s on!
*Please note Bullen Hall and Barnes Green Centre although listed are not taking part in Community Centres Week.
