The series is set in a Yorkshire country house and follows the lives of the Crawleys, the aristocratic family who lives in Downton Abbey, their friends and servants during the reign of King George V. The series has attracted millions of viewers domestically and internationally and won many awards during its airing including Emmy's, Golden Globe Awards and Guild Awards.
