To reach some of our town centres, you might have to use an additional train. The primary train operator to the majority of the destinations located in the borough is the South Western Railway (SWR). There are 15 SWR stations in the borough. From Clapham Junction, you can get a direct train accessing all these stations. Clapham Junction can be reached from London Waterloo or London Victoria in approximately 10 minutes.
London Waterloo station can be reached directly in 20 minutes from Richmond, allowing good connections to the city, the West End, and the southeast coast.
Additionally, Richmond and Kew Gardens stations also connect to North London and East London via the London Overground Train line.

Eurostar is an excellent choice for travelling from parts of the UK and continental Europe via the Channel Tunnel. The journeys are comfortable and reasonably priced. The Eurostar trains from Paris (2 hours 20 minutes) or Brussels (2 hours 5 minutes) arrive at London St. Pancras International station. From there, the fastest way to get to Richmond upon Thames is to use the underground and take the Victoria Line to Vauxhall, then change to a South Western Railway service from London Waterloo to Richmond (approximately 50 minutes).
