Two Billion Beats, Orange Tree Theatre: 20 January - 4 February 2023

The return of this exhilarating production following its acclaimed world premiere at the Orange Tree Theatre in 2022.

The seventeen-year-old Asha is an empathetic rebel, inspired by historical revolutionaries and iconoclasts Sylvia Pankhurst and B R Ambedkar. She’s unafraid of pointing out the hypocrisy around her but less sure how to actually dismantle it.

Meanwhile, her younger sister, Bettina, wide-eyed and naïve, is just trying to get through the school day without getting her pocket money nicked. When Bettina turns to her for help, Asha starts to ask what standing up for her political beliefs really looks like.

Hushed Impressions, Orleans House Gallery: 12 January - 5 March 2023

As part of Orleans House Gallery’s Emerging Artists Programme, visually impaired artist, Bianca Raffaella works with essential lines and tactile marks to describe her subjects, whether these are abstracted figures or atmospheric landscape.

The colour pallets Raffaella chooses are comprised of subtle and faded shades, which are distinctive to her work. She paints exactly what she sees and with the colours which she recognises as the most noticeable in her chosen compositions.
