Join us for a joyful, community-powered celebration as Church Street becomes a giant open-air chalk canvas for the day.

This free, family-friendly event invites everyone to take part—of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and identities, including our LGBTQIA++ community. Whether you're an artist or just keen to get stuck in, you're warmly invited to help us fill the street with chalk art from end to end, curb to curb.

It's a day for neighbours, families, friends and visitors to come together—reconnecting through creativity, colour, and shared expression.

Enjoy live performances throughout the day as part of the Richmond Arts & Ideas Festival.

This year's festival theme is Cultural Reforesting—about reclaiming public spaces as places of imagination, inclusion, and community care.
