About
Our Children's Market is back on Sunday 13 September, run in collaboration with Patch, the co-working space on York Street, as part of A Taste of Twickenham.
Every stall is run by a child. They're members of Young Founders House, the children's business and money club that meets at Patch each week. Each child borrows money from their parents, signs a proper loan agreement, and decides what to make and what to charge for it. On the day they do the selling themselves. Afterwards they pay their parents back, put 10% of their profit into a community fund and keep the rest. Some children earn more than their monthly fee in a single market day.
Entry is free, and we're a couple of minutes from Church Street, so you can wander up between tastings. There's live music, face painting, slime making workshops and a lot more. And if your child can't be pulled away from the stalls, come and say hello. I run the club, and I'm always glad to chat.
