Exclusive Beer Tasting with Paul Davies from Ale Hunters

About

Each winter Paul returns with a suitcase (or two!) of stand-out discoveries from his tours across Belgium and Europe.

Expect rich stouts, decadent porters, Trappist gems and dark Belgian ales you simply won't find on UK shelves. Every beer has a journey behind it – Paul will share not just what's in the glass, but also the stories of the brewers, the cellars, and the hidden bars where he tracked them down. It's part tasting, part storytelling, and all about celebrating the adventure of beer.

This has become a cherished Brewery Market tradition: gathering in December for an evening of rare beers, festive atmosphere and the kind of knowledge and passion only Paul can bring. If you love Belgian beer, dark styles, or hearing the tales behind the taste, this is a night not to be missed.

Spaces are limited and this event always sells out quickly – book early and join us for a warming, story-filled journey through Europe's dark winter brews.

Alongside Paul's beers, Linda will be serving a seasonal pairing board overflowing with flavours that are emotive and nostalgic — and just a little bit quirky. If you've been in previous years you'll know what to expect. Some bites will be playful, others plain weird, but all are chosen to spark memories and make the beers shine in unexpected ways. Think comforting festive favourites mingling with oddball matches you never saw coming — a board that's designed to surprise, delight, and keep you talking long after the glasses are empty.
