Perfect for beginners, this workshop offers a gentle introduction to the Japanese art of flower arranging.

Dating back to the sixth century, Ikebana emphasises seasonality, minimalism and the thoughtful placement of stems in harmony with nature. Guided by an experienced teacher, you will learn the key principles and techniques before creating your own arrangement.

We will provide beautiful seasonal branches, stems and flowers, including some cuttings from Kew’s own living collections. Participants are encouraged to explore their creativity while learning the core principles of Ikebana.

Please note, this workshop is for adults aged 18+ only.
