MENTalk

About

A stimulating day of talks, debates and performances that explores the issues that men and boys are grappling with in today's world and offers some insights and solutions.

"MENtalk FESTIVAL DAY" is an event for men and boys over the age of 14. It's informal atmosphere offers the chance to hear different stories ideas and life experiences from men of all backgrounds and get involved in the conversation about how to make life more positive for men and boys. There's a welcome new focus on the challenges that are facing men and boys and a recognition that 'being a man' doesn't feel as straightforward as in previous generations.

The challenges that men face in defining their role and purpose in life stems from a fast-changing world where the traditional roles of the man as 'breadwinner, leader, father figure, decision maker' has shifted.

The important and overdue opportunities and rights that have been developing for women and girls need to be matched by a recognition that man and boys also need new approaches to issues of confidence and identity.

MENtalk is an exciting place for ideas, thoughts and new initiatives. A stimulating and entertaining mini festival of talks, debates, comedy and performance exploring issues that men and boys are grappling with in today's world and offering insights and solutions.

Hear stories, ideas and life experiences from men of all backgrounds and get involved in the conversation about how to make life more positive for men and boys. MENtalk is a new initiative from The Exchange Theatre in Twickenham devised by Robbie Bird and supported by Ibiza Calm.

First 50 tickets get £5 OFF MENtalk finale – Marcus Brigstocke's Vitruvian Mango.
