The Alex Voysey Blues Band presents 'Best of the Blues'

About

A two hour set combining material from the greatest blues artists alongside tracks from Alex's number one Blues album.

Nominated for Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year in the 2025 UK Blues Federation Awards

Alex Voysey is one of the most exciting emerging artists on the current UK Blues scene with a core following built on the reputation of exhilarating and virtuosic blues rock live performances and phenomenal musicianship – a band that excites audiences wherever they go.

‘Best of the Blues’ combines tracks from Alex’s IBBA no.1 album ‘Blues In Isolation’ with material from the greatest blues artists who have been his inspiration over the last ten years – Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Keb Mo and many more…

Recently nominated as one of only 5 bands to compete in the UK Blues Challenge, their new album Blues In Isolation’ reached the prestigious number one slot in the IBBA charts in May 2024, ‘an album full of stunning guitar virtuosity’ Blues In Britain. Co-produced by Paul Long (Catfish/BB King/BBC Radio 2) and drummer Paul Arthurs it launched to a sold-out Cheltenham Playhouse featuring original material that is at once engaging, complex and memorable.

In 2024 the band supported Brave Rival and Alex was also honoured to dep for multi-award-winning guitarist Matt Long with the mighty international powerhouse band Catfish. He now continues to work with them on a new project, Burning Rope in 2025 as well as a new joint project with multi award winning vocalist Alice Armstrong.  Other recent highlights have included the band’s debut at the legendary Soho Pizza Express jazz club and headlining at the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, with sold-out debut shows at festivals and blues clubs around the country.
