About
TOTALLY THAMES FESTIVAL 2026
The stretch of Thames between Twickenham and Marble Hill House has been much painted and photographed over the years.
Using 30-page A4 brochures featuring extensive visual reference that are given to each participant during the tour, this series of hour-long guided walks traces the footsteps of fashionable and influential Georgians as well as working watermen, showing their visible traces still present on Twickenham's riverside.
Poets and princes, naked ladies and rock gods, artisans and river folk - all will be making an appearance on this stroll along the river from Twickenham's working Embankment to the Georgian splendour of Marble Hill House.
Walks depart at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm on all four Sundays in September
Meeting point: Twickenham Embankment in front of the Barmy Arms public house Tickets: £8/£5 concessions
