Winter walk along the rivers from Kneller Gardens to Isleworth

About

A walk along along the Duke of Northumberland River from where it branches from the River Crane to where it flows into the River Thames at Isleworth. This will be a winter walk taking in the local sights, looking for wildlife along the river banks and discussing the history of the man-made river. There's a look at where a brewery used to be sited!

The linear walk will meet at the Kingfisher Bridge between Kneller Gardens and Mereway Nature Park, Twickenham. The walk will be led by FORCE Trustees who will point out old industrial workings along the riverbanks, ecology and sights of particular interest. Of course, you can finish your walk at one of the local pubs having your lunch overlooking the Thames.  The event is free but do registration here so we can know how many folk to expect and will be open a month beforehand. There are a couple of places to leave the walk en route where local bus services are available.

Please come along with sturdy footwear as it will be muddy in parts, and in clothing suitable for winter weather.  Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Unfortunately dogs aren't invited on this walk. We are a very sociable group and look forward to meeting you.
