About
Join us for a Polish folk art paper-craft workshop and discover the symbolism of Wycinanki with artist Ania Ruszkowski.
Wycinanki – intricate paper cut-outs – have been a popular folk craft in Poland since the late 19th century. The vibrant-coloured cut-outs, traditionally created for the arrival of spring, are placed to decorate the walls.
Explore the rich history of these beautiful folk artworks and see how they've been lovingly handed down through generations. Join Ania Ruszkowski, practising artist and learning practitioner, for a hands-on workshop exploring the craft of traditional Polish paper cuttings.
You will create your own paper cut to take home, with a guided, step-by-step process at Elleray Centre in Teddington. No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to make.
