For adult-and-child family pairings interested in trying stone carving together in a fun and supportive setting. Children must be aged 8 or older and accompanied by their adult at all times.

Each child will create their own sculpture and each adult will create their own piece as well. Both adult and child should be prepared to sculpt and create in parallel.

Ideal for beginners -- no particular skills or prior experience necessary.

Over two hours, unplugged from other technologies, you'll learn the basics of stone carving and craft your own expressive stone relief. Working with a small piece of UK-sourced Portland stone, you'll carve out a simple image, e.g., a bird, animal or plant, and become familiar using traditional hand tools. In this relaxed, engaging class, adult and child alike will be proud to bring home a finished piece for your home or garden display.

Participants will be standing up to complete their carving and weather-permitting, will be based in the Landmark's garden. Please let Landmark staff know if you have any accessibility requirements.
