Queer Georgian

About

Join historian and broadcaster, Anthony Delaney discussing his new book, Queer Georgians.

Anthony will be sharing the dazzling stories of the remarkable individuals who dared to challenge society’s expectations. From the clientele of Mother Clap’s coffeehouse to two exiled women who set up a utopian homestead in a remote Welsh cottage, to the celebrated Chevalier d’Eon, soldier, diplomat and spy, these stories reveal the tragedies and joys of queer life in Georgian Britain.

Anthony will be in conversation with Daniel Gosling, collections specialist at The National Archives.

Anthony Delaney has a PhD in history from the University of Exeter, where he is an Honorary Fellow, and presents the History Hit podcast After Dark. Queer Georgians is his first book.
