Approaching his 90th birthday in 2027, Roger McGough takes to the floor with a funny, sad and moving show featuring new poems as well as old favourites. Roger McGough has published over 100 poetry books for adults and children.
Called 'the patron saint of poetry', he was one of the Liverpool Poets, who influenced popular culture in the Sixties, performed with The Scaffold and published The Mersey Sound, one of the bestselling poetry anthologies of all time. Roger is the presenter of Radio 4's Poetry Please and this year has been ambassador for the Southbank Centre's National Poetry Library 'Poet in Every Port UK' project.
