Stone Carving

About

From Griffins to Unicorns to Basilisks, stone carvers throughout history have relished depicting mythical creatures. In this 10-week evening course, you'll carve a relief stone sculpture of the mythical beast of your choice from UK-sourced limestone. Using hand tools, you'll carve layers of texture and detail onto a 20x20x5cm stone slab, learning how to bring wings, claws, and teeth to life in stone.

Complete beginners are welcome, as well as those with previous experience looking to develop their skills. You will be guided through creating a design, or you can bring your own idea or choose from a selection of prepared patterns (including a unicorn, dragon, or phoenix).
