Watercolour painting of clouds

About

Join us for the latest in our series of watercolours workshops with experienced local teacher and professional artist Karen Iredale Lucas, working on the skills involved in painting clouds.

In this informative and relaxing Sunday morning workshop, Karen will introduce you to various techniques including wet on wet, dry brush work and blotting out. She'll also discuss composition and colour mixing. You'll then be guided as you work on your own paintings.

By the end of the class, everyone will have an original A3 sized watercolour art work to take home.

The class is suitable for both beginners and for those with more experience wanting to improve their painting skills. It's also a great follow-on for attendees of Karen's past watercolour classes with us, as she'll be demonstrating and also extending the techniques covered then.

Please bring along a photograph of clouds taken at a favourite location, ideally with a small area of landscape below.

We'll provide the paper, brushes and paints, but please feel free to bring along your own set of watercolour paints and brushes if you'd prefer.

We'll also be serving lots of tea and coffee, as well as homemade cakes, to help the creativity along!

"enjoyable, relaxing watercolour art session. Would definitely recommend. Good demonstrations with plenty of time to complete"

"It was perfect. Equipment great. Great cake! Lots of support given"
