Cavan Bakery Teddington

About

We, at The Cavan Bakery, are passionate about the art of baking and are committed to bringing fantastic, authentic, delicious bakery products to lovers of good food in South West London and surrounding counties. We’ve been baking daily since 1929 and use our heritage, experience and skill to produce a mouth-watering range of artisan breads, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and great coffee.

The Cavan Bakery was founded by David Cavan (the current owner's grandfather) in 1929 and the first shop was in Twickenham, south west London. Today the business employs over 150 colleagues, extends to a growing number of our own bakery shops (currently 13, a "baker's dozen"), a café as well as serving many wholesale customers. Our constant drive to innovate and be the best has been the driving force behind our evolution from a small traditional  bakery to a thriving contemporary artisan bakery, all the while maintaining the skill and tradition of our craft bakers. Throughout this time, quality, taste, pride and passion have ensured our longevity and we believe we are as relevant in the 2020s as we were in the 1920s.

We pride ourselves on keeping things local - we employ staff from across the borough; we source our ingredients from local independent traders as much as possible and our central bakery is local too resulting in very low food-miles. We close the ‘keep it local’ circle by donating our daily food surplus to community kitchens, food banks, homeless shelters, breakfast clubs and similar initiatives. Not only does this continue our tradition of supporting the local community but byresponsibly redistributing our surplus in this manner we significantly reduce our food waste. We care deeply about our colleagues, our customers and our product to ensure you will Love. Every. Crumb.
