Richmond Park

There is no where better in London to experience the great outdoors than Richmond Park. It's London’s largest Royal Park with 2,500 acres of hills, woodlands, gardens and grassland. Here you are also able to see herds of red and fallow deer, this is also what makes it an extremely popular spot for photographers. Alternatively, if you’re looking for some adventure, you can enjoy a host of activities such cycling and horse riding within Richmond Park.

Whilst there explore the spectacular Isabella Plantation with its extravaganza of bright azaleas or venture up King Henry’s Mound to admire distant views to St Paul’s Cathedral

Free minibus service in Richmond Park

From 29 March - 27 November there is a free transport service available in Richmond Park to help visitors get better access. The bus has disabled access, and runs between all the Richmond Park car parks, Ladderstile Gate, Richmond Gate, Pembroke Lodge and Isabella Plantation. It allows those without access to the park the ability to enjoy the wonders of London’s largest Royal Park.


Bushy Park

Bushy Park, Teddington, London, TW11 0EQ

Bushy is the second largest of the Royal Parks, it's a haven for wildlife – from historic herds of resident deer and scores of protected anthills to ancient woodlands and winding waterways where skylarks nest, ducks dive and beetles scurry. The park has several historical landmarks, such as the magnificent Diana Fountain and Chestnut Avenue.

Walking

Richmond upon Thames is the perfect place for exploring. It has 260 public rights of way and five signposted walking routes, inlcuding strategic walking routes of The Thames Path, Capital Ring, London Outer Orbital Path (LOOP),and two shorter paths of the River Crane Walk and Beverly Brook Walk.

Self-guided and guided walks are also available and popular in the borough.
