A Flight of Fantasies

About

“This recital is produced by the charity PROMOTE OUR PIANISTS (POP) working together with KETTNER CONCERTS to offer live performances to outstanding young pianists.

Bridget Yee offers us a fascinating insight in how improvisation has been the playground of composers and musicians for hundreds of years in a programme spanning the early Baroque masters to the late Romantics.

THE PROGRAMME

Rameau: Menuet 1 L'enharmonique , Menuet 2 Les Sauvages

Scriabin: Sonata No. 2 in G-sharp Minor, op. 19 “Sonata-Fantasy”

Franck/Bauer: Prélude, Fugue et Variations, op. 18

Chopin: Polonaise-Fantaisie Op.61 in A-flat

Liszt: Piano Sonata in B minor, S 178

THE ARTIST

A BBC Young Musician Finalist of the Year 2020, Bridget's command of the keyboard has been described as breathtaking in its audacity. After a widely praised recital tour of Switzerland the newspaper Zuger Zeitung said of her, 'Yee creates an uncommon sense of closeness with the audience."
