Big Band Jazz - Perfect Stranger

About

Perfect Stranger is an exciting 10-piece band, reviving a project of Chris Sansom's from 1974. The idea was to compose and play music in a jazz/rock vernacular, but composed along classical lines, while keeping it exciting and vibrant. You could even dance to some of it! Their signature piece is 'Life & Times', a half-hour long four-movement work modelled on a classical symphony, which features on their debut album 'Unfinished Business', released in 2024. Fifty years ago it was too hard to play, but the stellar ensemble Chris has assembled can more than do it justice now!
