Captivating Crewelwork

About

This very special design has been inspired by one of the stars of the RSN collection, our four-panelled Crewelwork screen. This screen has been a source of inspiration for RSN Certificate students for many years and is particularly notable for its Long and Short stitching and Trellis work. The main feature of our design is the beautiful bird that features in panel four of the original screen. He is surrounded by flowers and leaves that echo those in the other panels. During this 5 day class you’ll use Appleton’s Crewel wools on linen twill fabric to create your very own panel, that will include many Crewelwork stitches but with the main focus on Long and Short  and decorative Trellises. Suitable for intermediate and advanced stitchers, as well as adventurous beginners.
