About

Discover a season of firsts this spring, on a fun-filled wetland adventure with Gozzle the gosling.

20 March - 31 May

This spring, we're teaming up with Macmillan Children's Books to explore the wonderful world of wetlands with Gozzle the gosling, from Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie's freshly hatched picture book.

With outdoor adventures, special activities, storytelling sessions and more, enjoy a season of firsts at London Wetland Centre.

Join Gozzle's wetland adventure
Follow the interactive trail to discover what it takes for your fuzzy little friend to become a grown-up goose. From her first nibble to her first splash… right up to the day she flies away on her first migration.

Along the way, you'll strike some funny animal poses. Hop along stepping stones to practice your balance. Seek out a meal using your sense of smell. And keep your eyes peeled for the 15 mini Gozzles hiding along the route. Can you spot them all?

For more feathery fun, you'll find page after page of action-packed games and puzzles, a sheet of Gozzle stickers, and a bear headband in the Gozzle activity pack – available to buy for £4 from the visitor centre or pop one in your basket when buying your entrance tickets.

A season of firsts, this spring at WWT
Once you reach the giant goose wings, it's time to wave Gozzle off on her migration. But there are lots more firsts for you to discover – whether it's your first time pond dipping, your first time birdwatching with binoculars, or simply your first visit. What will you do for the first time this spring at London Wetland Centre?

Become an animal helper in Gozzle's Vet Check
Waddle into our Vet Check station and become an amazing animal helper, just like the people at WWT who care for our feathered friends.

Your mission: nurse your toy goose back to health. You'll become an expert with x-rays and discover how to handle, measure and weigh birds just like a real WWT vet – until your feathered friend is fit, healthy and ready for their next flight.

Our guided Vet Check station is open daily during school holidays between 20 March and 31 May 2026.
