Local charity Ruils is hosting a FREE walk-in Community Health Fair in Hampton. The event is for families and people of all ages in the borough.

The Community Health Fair is being organised at part of Ruils' Health in Your Hands project, which encourages Richmond residents to take a more active role in their healthcare by engaging with local healthcare services and supporting those who are at risk of developing long-term conditions (LTCs).

There will be representatives from local organisations sharing information about their services including:

SWLEAP
Crosslight Advice
Cooking Up
Enable
Richmond Carers Centre
The Mulberry Centre
Direct Payments Support Team from Ruils
HomeLink Day Care Centre
Healthwatch Richmond
Ruils

Ruils will be offering free basic health checks as a part of the Health in Your Hands service. Anyone who gets a health check will be entered into a raffle.

There will be free health and wellbeing activities including:

-a talk for unpaid carers by Crossroads Care
-an exercise taster session led by Enable
-free massage therapy

A hot lunch will be provided

Ruils is particularly hoping to reach people who may benefit from:

-Support and advice for unpaid Carers
-Advice around cost of living, energy bills, debt support
-Healthy eating/nutrition and weight management advice
-Cancer screening information
